Quantum computers

Quantum computers
Quantum computers are nothing but computers that performs quantum computations. which
uses quantum states such as superpositions, entanglement.
History
What is quantum computing?
It is the area where the computing is done based on the principles of quantum theory
where it uses quantum bits or qubits (qubits are made based on the spinning o the
electron or orientation of photons).
History:
It was started in early 1980, as a quantum mechanical model of turning machine was
proposed by Paul Benioff, a great physicist at Argonne national labs
How quantum computers differ from normal computers?
1)classical computers work with the help of a transistor where it uses either one or
zeros but quantum computers calculate with qubits, representing zeros and ones at the
same time.
2)here power is directly proportional to the numbers of transistors in a 1:1 ratio, but ib
quantum computers the power increases exponent in proportion to the number of
qubits. this is the reason which makes quantum computers to calculate some of the
complicated calculation at a faster rate
3) Most everyday tasks are handled by normal computers, but quantum computers are
suited for optimization, data analysis, and stimulations.
4)classical computers have a low error rate and can operate at a low temperature but
quantum computers have a high error rate which should be kept in ultracold condition
Some key points are used in quantum computers
What makes a quantum computer work faster?
Here each qubit influences the neighbor bit which is present around it, superposition
and enlargement give an ability to process much more information in the least amount
of time. so these are considered faster than a classical computer.
Facts about quantum computers……
● These are great for solving optimization problems.
● These types of computers will make it possible to store a large amount of data
where classical computers fail to stores a large amount of data (25 exabytes of
data in phone)
● To keep quantum computers cool, a D wave system is introduced which is -460
Fahrenheit.
● It also consumes less power from normal computers which differs 100 to 1000
times, because these computers are quantum tunneling.
● These computers are very sensitive as a small vibration in atoms may cause a
loss of information
Advantages:
● Faster than normal computers
● These can perform extremely complicated operations which cannot be performed
by normal computers
● These types of computers possible stimulate quantum systems
Disadvantages:
● It is very difficult for an engineer to build a program as a result there will be errors
occurring.
● Compulsory low temperature is needed
